Since I already knew how lush and nourishing Philosophy’s lip shines are, I was mostly concerned with the scent and flavor of the Orange Jelly Bean Lip Shine. As soon as I applied it, I noticed the tangy-sweet scent of jelly beans, just like the label promised, and when I rubbed my lips together to emulsify the lip shine, the scent grew stronger. And the taste — just like real orange jelly beans — how did they do that?

And again, I was impressed with how rich this lip shine is, without feeling greasy or oily. The Orange Jelly Bean is bright orange with an iridescent glimmer in the tube, so I was a little worried about how it might look on my lips, but the color is very, very subtle, adding just a hint of natural-looking tint and shine. It doesn’t look like the color in the tube at all… and the glimmer is subtle, too. Even after six hours, I could still feel the lip shine on my lips, though the scent and flavor had worn off quickly.
